ISLAMABAD – Minister for Interior Affairs allowed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to send cricket team to India for participation in the world Cup T20.
While addressing a press conference, Team Coach Waqar Younis answered questions with respect to team’s preparation for the mega event. He said that the team was going to India with the positive frame of mind and as a single unit. There was no grudge between the captain and the coach, he said.
Replying to question, he said that only captain’s performance could not be considered as the sole reason for the team’s performance rather the whole team had not been performing well for quite some time.
He said that the team needed to show improved performance in three formats of the game which comprised batting, bowling and fielding. The coach was quite hopeful that the team would perform well in the T20 World cup.
