ISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday said that due to the government’s prudent fiscal policies and measures, the country’s economy was continuously improving.
He said the growing strength of Pakistan’s economy had also been recognised by various international financial institutions. The president expressed these views while talking to Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Senator Ishaq Dar, who called on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The president also referred to the ongoing projects under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and said after completion the CPEC would prove as a game changer not only for Pakistan but for the whole region also.
The minister briefed the president about the overall state of economy in the country as well as the measures being taken by the government to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people.
